Steamforged games teases Sea of Thieves pirate themed board game

Steamforged Games Ltd. is a game publisher primarily known for making amazing role-playing games based on video games. Last week, this company teased that they were working on a pirate-themed game and shortly thereafter, they announced Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends based on the popular video game with the same name.

Sea of Thieves is a massively multiplayer online game in which you and a group of friends form a pirate crew and traverse the open seas to find treasures and attack other pirates. The game contains numerous quests in which you will encounter cursed skeletons, hidden caverns, and of course many treasures! But you have to watch out because other players are also sailing the same seas as you, and on pirated waters, there are no rules...

Little is yet known as to how Steamforged will translate this game into a board game. We know that this will be a competitive game for 2-4 players in which you will have to collect more treasures, and therefore doubloons, to be crowned a Pirate Legend.

The game is said to be released this summer for a retail price of around €60. Keep an eye on this website to find out when and where you can buy this pirate adventure!
