Gamelyn Games is a board game publisher mostly known for its series of Tiny Epic games. This is a series of strategy games which fit in a relatively small box and can be set up fairly quickly without a lot of explanations. Yesterday, the publisher has announced their newest game in this series, Tiny Epic Tactics, an easy to play king of the hill game in a small box.
After a small teaser earlier this week, the publisher Gamelyn Games has finally announced their newest game, Tiny Epic Tactics. In the game, each player chooses four characters, each with their own attacking powers and abilities. The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible and this is done by occupying special areas on the game board with warriors in your color. When an area is activated, points go to the player that has the most warriors in that zone.
The playing board also contains different locations that can give you special bonuses. For example, there are villagers that will fully heal your warriors that pass through. And at the end of the game players get bonus points for warriors that still reside in villages. You will have to think in three dimensions for this game, the playing area consists of different heights and from higher grounds you can attack more enemies.
When a number of areas have been activated, depending on the number of players, the game is over and the player who collected the most points is the winner.
Tiny Epic Tactics will be available through a Kickstarter campaign starting next week, we are super pumped about this new addition to the series. Although we do wonder how all this will fit in a small box.
