Zombicide: Invader, now on Kickstarter

Today, CMON launched a Kickstarter campaign for their newest variant in the Zombicide series with the name Zombicide: Invader. This new game takes place in the future, where the human race is exploring and mining a new planet, but it is here that they discover a new and terrifying threat...

In Zombicide: Invader, you and your fellow players are scientists who are researching this new planet, but you make a terrifying discovery: you are not the only ones on this planet. The planet is inhabited by sickly monsters that will try to take over your base. It is up to your team to complete the objectives you have been tasked with before the monsters take control! Are you brave enough to take on this mission?

You play the game solo or with up to five other players. Use the different characters that are present in the base to look for weapons and other objects that can be used to drive away the growing crowd of Xenos monsters. Every character has their own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities, so be sure to collaborate on what tactics to use before sending a lone character through the base. For example, civilians are very good at finding different objects and materials in the base but are worthless against the monsters. This is where military units come in, these are better equipped for these situations. Time is also an important factor because the longer you are waiting to complete your goals the more monsters will attack your base, every wave of monsters becomes bigger and stronger and if you wait too long it is even possible that a big abomination might enter your base.

Since today, the game is available for pre-order through Kickstarter and it has already received loads of backers. The campaign reached its funding goal in less than fifteen minutes and now allot of stretch goals are being unlocked that add more survivors and monsters to the game. It will, however, take a while before you can play the game, the planned release is set to May 2019. If you want more information or if you want to secure your copy of the game, be sure to take a look at the Kickstarter page.
