Best Kickstarters for May 2018

It has been a few months since we looked at the best board games on Kickstarter. So again, this month we are going to list the board games that we think really deserve to get a push in the back to make it in existence. These are the games we have already backed this month!

[Skull Tales: Full Sail!](https://www.tabletopfinder.eu/es/boardgame/10289/skull-tales-full-sail) is a semi-coop miniatures game set in the world of pirates. You climb on board of a pirate ship that you and your friends use to cross the seas in order to explore islands and collect treasures on several scattered islands whilst completing missions. But beware! A pirate is not to be trusted. Everyone wants the biggest part of the treasure for themselves so there is always a possibility of mutiny or rivalry from your friends. As long as you can return to the village and complete your objectives everything is allowed! Is this something your group likes? Be sure to check out the Kickstarter page.

Do you rather enjoy train games and transporting goods via supply chains? [Empyreal: Spells & Steam](https://www.tabletopfinder.eu/es/boardgame/10285/empyreal-spells-steam) might be something for you! The game is set in a fantasy world where each player takes over the management of a railway company. Your goal is to score as many points as possible by connecting cities with the correct source of resources they need. But you will also have to upgrade your trains to keep ahead of the competition, this is done by collecting mana from the corresponding sources. The game is played on modular boards to ensure unique gameplay every session. More information about the game can be found on the Kickstarter page.

In [Darwin's Choice](https://www.tabletopfinder.eu/es/boardgame/10307/darwins-choice) you are trying to evolve your own species, you have to mutate the species in the correct way to survive through different climates and random events. Do you want your species to have the body of a fish, the head of a triceratops and the tail of an eagle? No problem, in this game all of that is possible, but you have to take into account that your species might have to survive an ice age or a volcanic eruption. Does this sound like a fun gaming night? Then be sure to take a look at the Kickstarter page for this game.

[Villagers](https://www.tabletopfinder.eu/es/boardgame/10347/villagers) challenges you to build the best village with production chains that you can profit off. For example, you can start with a lumberjack that sells his wood. Later, you can have a wheeler that makes wheels from this wood, this way you can earn more money of the wood. And even later in the game, you can hire a cartwright that makes carts from the wheels. Other players can also use your villagers to make products, but of course they will have to pay you for this! Who will be able to make the most profitable village? Find out more on the Kickstarter page for the game.
